Jan, how we thank God for you and Larry, for your kind generosity towards us in sharing your Pastor's Suite and yourselves with us, as we returned home from overseas and visited White Rock several summers.  You made us feel so welcome, though we had only met you through our daughter Jennifer and her use of that special chamber.

Now we stand amazed at your joy in Larry's calling to be with Jesus.  Though you miss him greatly, you know that Larry and Heaven are better off with him there!  As we wait for that day that we are all together again, we can remember Paul's words:

"Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transfer our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself."  Philippians 3:20-21

Larry I will miss you.  From a very young age you have been a part of my life.  You will be missed by many and I am sad that you are no longer with us.  Janet I hope you are doing as well as you can through this and I am sorry I will not be able to be there to celebrate Larry's life with you on Friday.

Jan, we love you and marvel at how tuned you are to eternal issues in your time of grieving - you show us all that we don't grieve as those who have no hope.  You have made it clear that Larry is with the Lord he longed to be with...our prayers are with you!

Auntie Kate, we are keenly aware of how Larry's passing puts Larry right there with Uncle John and my dad (among others)...know we are holding you up in our prayers as this must be a bit of a raw time for you as well - may God give you grace.

Michelle, thanks for being there for your mom...and the nice touch of being your dad's anniversary ambassador - we are keeping you in our prayers as well.

To all the Brandt family - though our hearts are heavy with Larry's homegoing, we are compelled to rejoice in the reality of his being in the presence of His Lord.  Absent from the body, present with the Lord.
